Matthew-Tailford

Matthew Tailford

Matthew has been at Tailford Meats since leaving school over 35 years ago. When he isn’t in the shop providing our customers with the best quality Scottish meat available, Matthew has a keen interest in ice hockey and rugby and can be found in a cold ice rink or at Murrayfield supporting Edinburgh Rugby with his season ticket. He also likes photography, walking his dog and regular trips to the cinema. Matthew’s favourite cut of meat from the shop is our Bistro burgers, which we make for a number of cafes and bars in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Lee-Tailford

Lee Tailford

Lee Tailford has been with Tailford Meats since leaving school 31 years ago. When he’s not in the shop, you’ll find him spending time with his son Tylor. A keen fisherman, Lee owns his own fishing boat, regularly taking it out for fishing trips, and also enjoys playing tennis, even though he isn’t very good. His favourite cut of meat from out shop is the gammon joint. An incredibly versatile piece of meat, gammon is great for roasting, slow cooking and makes for the most amazing crackling. It’s also ideal for salads, sandwiches or on a charcuterie board when left to go cold.

Richard-Hartmann

Richard Hartmann

Richard has been at Tailford Meats for 10 years. A family man, he is married with two children, and when he isn’t spending time with them he has a keen interest in ice hockey. He played professionally at the highest level, and still coaches in the Scottish National Ice Hockey League. His favourite cut of meat from the shop is our turkey breast, which has been a major part of his diet as a professional athlete for years.

George-Ferdinando

George Ferdinando

George has been with Tailford Meats for 5 years, and has over 17 years of experience in sales. He is looking forward to getting married in 2021 to his fiancée Kerry. In his spare time he enjoys playing ice hockey where he plays in goals. He can also be found out and about socialising, and enjoys regular trips to the cinema. His favourite product from the shop is our chicken curry pies, which are packed with flavour and are quick and easy to prepare. George makes a point of testing EVERY batch as they come out of the oven.

Evelyn-Mitchell

Evelyn Mitchell

Evelyn, or Big Ev as she is known has been with Tailford Meats for 15 years. She has two grown up children, and when she isn’t in the bakery, she is interested in stock car racing, cooking and drinking cocktails which she does very well.. Her favourite cut of meat from the shop is our ribeye steak, which is so easy and quick to cook with just the right amount of marbling for the perfect juicy, tender steak.
